Steady Effort Builds to a Strong Closing Kick Robert Konrad completed the marathon in 4:34:46, a slower finish than his 2025 Boulderthon Marathon time of 3:47:27. His pace held in a tight band through the first ten miles, mostly between 10:24 and 10:44 per mile, aside from a brief dip to 11:59 at mile six. From miles 14 through 21, he found his best rhythm of the day, averaging roughly 10:08 per mile and dipping as low as 9:57, before easing slightly through miles 2225. He closed with a strong final mile, covering it in 9:41, the fastest full mile of his race. Konrad's route carried him past Boulder Reservoir and through Boulder County backroads before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, all at over 5,000 feet of elevation a demanding backdrop for any marathon effort.
