Fast Start Carries a Top 4% Finish Logan Taylor crossed the marathon line in 3:30:44, good for 115th overall and 102nd among men in a field of 3,305. The opening miles set the tone: Taylor covered the first 10 miles in roughly 6:31 per mile, holding that rhythm through mile 13 before the pace began to ease. From mile 14 onward the per-mile splits steadily lengthened, moving from the 7:30s into the 9:00s by mile 19 and finally into the 10-11 minute range over the closing miles, a gradual fade rather than a sudden one. That early speed remains the highlight of the day, with mile 4 the fastest of the race at 6:07. Taylor's effort carried him the full distance to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a course that sits above 5,000 feet of elevation throughout.
