Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Emily Feiman #10979 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Strong Early Pace Carries Through Boulder's First Half Before a Late Fade Emily Feiman finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:22:28. Her early miles were the highlight: she covered the first 11 miles in roughly 8:28 pace, holding steady splits between 8:09 and 8:55 through downtown Boulder and the outlying roads. That rhythm carried through the halfway point near 8:30 pace before the effort gradually eased over the second half, with mile splits climbing into the 9- to 16-minute range between miles 18 and 26. Given the marathon's net elevation gain and Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet, the opening 11-mile stretch stands out as the strongest sustained running of the day. A worthwhile focus going forward could be building endurance to preserve that early rhythm deeper into the back half of the course.
