Steady Miles Give Way to a Hard-Earned Finish Summit Fan completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:31:20. She opened with her quickest mile, 9:01, then held a tight 9:119:30 per-mile band through the half, reached in 2:02:04. That first half showed her most consistent running of the day, anchored by an 8:54 mile at mile 11, her fastest full-mile split of the race. The back half cost her time, with per-mile pace easing past mile 14 and slipping further from mile 21 onward before she steadied again to close in 10:59 for the final mile. Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, a backdrop for any marathon effort here. The 2026 course itself was redesigned with net elevation gain cut about 40 percent, from 982 to 603 feet terrain Fan covered en route to her finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
