Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Benny Kavet #13187 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Steady Pace Through the Middle, Fade Late Benny Kavet finished the Boulderthon Marathon in 4:32:08, averaging 10:23 per mile. He opened near 10:15 for his first mile, tightened into a rhythm through the middle of the course, and then eased steadily over the final third, with his pace sliding from roughly 10:00 to nearly 12:00 per mile in the closing stretch. Kavet's best running came between miles 10 and 17, where he covered seven miles at 9:43 per mile, noticeably faster than his overall average. By the time he reached the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, his pace had eased to just over 11 minutes per mile, part of a broader softening over the marathon's closing miles at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet.
