Steady Pacing Carries Denver Runner to a Faster Finish Caroline Mulrey crossed in 3:45:05, good for 196th overall and 29th among women out of a field of 3,305 placing her result in the top 10 percent of entrants. That mark also improves on her 2024 Boulderthon finish of 3:48:35, shaving roughly three and a half minutes off her previous time. Her pacing stayed remarkably even through the first two-thirds of the race, holding between 8:20 and 8:40 per mile from miles 4 through 20. Her strongest stretch came from miles 9 to 11, where she covered three miles in 24:52, an 8:17 average pace the fastest sustained running of her day. She eased slightly in the closing miles, settling into the 8:459:06 range as she passed the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, adds context to any marathon effort run here.
