Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Emma Wachler #11116 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Negative-Split Marathon Nets Top Age-Group Finish Emma Wachler ran 3:29:23 to place 100th overall and 11th among women, topping the F20-24 division. Her pace held in the 8:05-8:15 range through the middle miles, dipping only briefly to 9:08 at mile 15, before a sustained surge from mile 19 onward pulled her overall placement up steadily to the finish. The closing miles were the highlight: after passing the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, Wachler ran her final three miles in 6:56, 6:59 and 6:37, the fastest stretch of her race by a wide margin. That finishing kick, capped on the Pearl Street Mall at over 5,000 feet of elevation, turned a solid opening pace into a strong overall result.
