Steady Pace Through Midrace Miles Fuels Strong Marathon Finish Samwell Pagani completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:10:08, holding a snug 9:059:15 min/mile pace from miles 5 through 18 before easing into the 10:00s over the closing miles. His most consistent running came between miles 10 and 17, a seven-mile stretch covered at roughly 8:58 min/mile, the steadiest sustained effort of his race. That marathon course carries runners out past Boulder Reservoir and along the county backroads before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall. Near mile 22.5, close to the lululemon Power-Up Zone, Pagani's split ticked to 10:29 min/mile as he began the final push toward downtown Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, before finishing strong through the mall.
