Steady Start Gives Way to a Hard-Earned Finish Aaron Porras completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:35:27, a 10:30/mile pace. A year removed from his 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:57:00 (8:55/mile), Porras stepped up to the full 26.2-mile distance this time out. His race unfolded in two distinct halves: the first nine miles clicked by evenly between 8:43 and 8:56 per mile, keeping his cumulative pace near 8:53. From mile 10 onward the pace steadily eased, dipping into the 9:3010:30 range before a pronounced slowdown through miles 2123, coinciding with the climb toward the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5. Porras closed strong relative to that stretch, trimming his final-mile split back toward 12:23 before crossing the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, elevation over 5,000 feet.
