Even Pacing Gives Way to a Strong Closing Rally Heather Prioste finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:20:58, a cumulative pace of 9:57 per mile across the 26.2-mile course. She opened with her fastest running of the race, covering the first two miles in 8:52 and 8:50, then settled into a steady low-9:00s rhythm that carried her to the halfway point in 1:59:21. From roughly mile 14 through mile 23, her pace eased into the 10:20-11:50 range, before she found another gear over the final three miles, dropping back to 10:32, 10:30, and 9:52 to close out the race with momentum. Prioste's marathon finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, the same finish shared by every distance in the race. Running at over 5,000 feet of elevation, she moved through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 during her toughest stretch of the day, then used the closing miles to strengthen her overall time.
