Steady Pacing Carries Flanagan to a Strong Marathon Finish Ryan Flanagan finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:27:01, placing 86th overall and 76th among men in a field of 3,305. This follows his 2024 Boulderthon Half Marathon finish in 1:34:55 at a 7:14 pace a different distance and demand, but a useful marker of his range as a runner moving up to 26.2 miles. Flanagan's marathon was defined by remarkable consistency through the first 21 miles, holding a tight band between 7:44 and 7:54 per mile with no significant drift. That steadiness set up the rest of the race well. Miles 22 and 23 brought his only real dip, slowing to 8:44 and 8:22, but he answered immediately, rallying over the final three miles down to the 7:558:09 range to close strong into downtown Boulder.
