Steady Build Through the Middle Miles Fuels a Strong Marathon Finish Pablo Noriega completed the Boulderthon Marathon in 4:38:36, an average pace of 10:38 per mile. After opening near 10:03 pace through the first ten miles, he settled into a rhythm, tightening his cumulative pace through the middle of the course before easing off over the closing miles to the finish. His strongest stretch came between miles 11 and 20, where he averaged roughly 9:57 per mile, pulling his overall pace down from 10:03 to 10:00 by mile 20. That effort stands out as the most efficient mile-plus segment of his race. Racing at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, Noriega closed out the marathon on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, capping a day built on a patient start and a well-managed middle third.
