Fast Start Fuels Steady Fade to a Solid Finish Joshua Clemons finished the marathon in 3:30:34, slower than his 3:18:22 (2023) and 3:18:43 (2025) Boulderthon marathons, but ahead of his 3:37:05 in 2024. Clemons opened aggressively, covering the first 8 miles at roughly 6:48 pace, holding low-7:00s through mile 15 before a steady fade set in. Miles 19-24 slowed into the 9:00-10:36 range, including a stretch through mile 22.5 near the marathon's lululemon Power-Up Zone where his pace dropped to 10:36, his slowest mile of the race. He rallied over the final two miles, closing near 8:29 pace into the Pearl Street Mall finish, a strong recovery after the mid-race slowdown at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet.
