Steady Early Miles Fuel a Determined Marathon Finish Andrew Clidas completed the Boulderthon Marathon in 4:14:11. Through the first 18 miles, he ran with notable consistency, holding paces mostly between 8:11 and 9:22 per mile as he settled into a rhythm early and sustained it deep into the race. The pace eased over the closing miles, particularly from mile 19 to 23, before he steadied again over the final three miles to close out the 26.2-mile distance. His strongest mile came early, a 7:49 split at mile 4, the fastest stretch of his race. Like every Boulderthon distance, his marathon finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a rewarding finish line after 26.2 miles run above 5,000 feet of elevation.
