Teen Standout Closes Strong for a Top Age-Group Finish Rivers Clair, 19, of Charleston, SC, ran 3:34:56 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, placing 133rd overall and 17th among women in a field of 3,305 while winning her 15-19 age division. Last year she ran the Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:51:07; stepping up to the marathon distance in 2026, she nearly doubled the mileage while holding a similarly efficient pace. Clair built her race patiently, holding between 7:41 and 8:01 per mile through the first eight miles and staying near 8:00 pace through mile 20. Miles 21-24 brought a natural dip, including a 9:34 split at mile 24, before she rallied over the final two miles, closing in 8:04 and 8:08. That opening eight-mile stretch, averaging roughly 7:52 per mile, stood out as her strongest sustained running of the day a solid showing on a marathon course that in 2026 saw its net elevation gain trimmed to 603 feet, in a city sitting above 5,000 feet.
