Big Leap Forward: Rauchut Cracks 3:11 at Altitude Tyler Rauchut ran 3:11:21 to finish 32nd overall and 26th among men, placing third in the men's 20-24 division. That marks a significant jump from his 2025 Boulderthon result of 3:39:42, a 28-minute improvement that moved him from 220th overall to the top tier of Saturday's field. Rauchut's race built steadily rather than fading. After holding close to 7:35 pace through the middle miles, he found another gear over the final six miles, covering that stretch in roughly 6:57 per mile and closing with a 6:34 final mile. That surge pushed him from 56th to 23rd overall in the closing miles, a strong sign of well-managed effort across 26.2 miles at Boulder's altitude, above 5,000 feet. If there's a place to sharpen further, it's converting that late strength into a more even effort earlier, but the finish here speaks for itself.
