Steady Build Gives Way to a Tough Final Stretch Fredrick Beacham finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:34:17, an overall pace of 10:28 per mile. He opened patiently, covering his first two miles in the 10:20s, then settled into his best rhythm through the race's middle third. His fastest mile came at mile 11, run in 8:41, part of a stretch from miles 10 through 20 that consistently held between 9:11 and 9:55 per mile. That effort brought his cumulative pace down to 9:47 per mile at the midpoint, his best mark of the day. The closing 10K asked more of him, with splits climbing into the 11- and 12-minute range before he brought it home with a 10:48 final mile. Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, and Beacham's course wound past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
