Strong Late Surge Powers a Top-Tier Marathon Finish Ruth Tully crossed the line in 3:26:13, good for 84th overall and 9th among women in a field of 3,305. She returns to Boulderthon after running the 5K in 2024, stepping up in distance with a performance that shows real range. Tully's pacing stayed remarkably even through the first two-thirds of the race, holding between 7:41 and 8:22 per mile through mile 21. From there she found another gear: miles 22 through 26 ticked by in the 7:19-7:33 range, a clear negative-split finish that pulled her from 124th overall at mile 22 up to 70th by the finish. That closing stretch, run at over 5,000 feet of elevation, was the fastest sustained running of her race, and it carried her onto the Pearl Street Mall with real momentum.
