Steady Start, Strong Finish Kick After a Midrace Fade Joe Condo completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:14:48, an average pace of 9:43 per mile. He opened briskly, covering the first 10 miles in 1:30:02 (9:00/mile pace), before the middle third of the race cooled to the 9:3011:40 range through miles 1624. He closed strong, dropping to 10:10 and 9:57 over the final two miles to finish with authority on the Pearl Street Mall. That opening 10-mile stretch stands as the highlight of the day, holding sub-9:00 pace despite running at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder. Around mile 22, as the course wound past Boulder County backroads near the lululemon Power-Up Zone, Condo's pace had eased to 9:16 before the late slowdownyet he found another gear in the final two miles to bring it home.
