Strong Front Half Fuels Top-2% Marathon Finish Sam Haraway crossed in 3:22:11, finishing 60th overall and 52nd among men. His pacing showed a controlled, fast opening followed by a natural fade over the closing miles. Through the first 12 miles he sat in the 7:177:23 per-mile range, then held steady in the low 7:20s through mile 18. From mile 19 onward the pace eased into the 8:00s and briefly into the 9:00s at mile 22, before tightening back down to 8:208:21 over the final two miles to the finish. The strongest stretch of the day came early: miles 1 through 12 were run at a consistent sub-7:25 clip, the fastest sustained mile-plus segment of the race. That effort came at real elevation, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, adding weight to the pace he banked before the later miles slowed.
