Fast Front Half Anchors a Top-Six-Percent Finish Connor Wilden finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:43:28, placing 180th overall and 154th among men inside the top 6% of the field. Through the first 18 miles he ran a steady clip in the 7:40s to low 8:00s, holding elapsed pace near 7:56 min/mile at that point. The middle-to-late miles brought a natural fade, with splits settling into the 9:2010:20 range from mile 19 through 24, before he tightened back up over the final two miles to close in the 9:40s. That opening stretch through mile 18 stands out nearly two-thirds of the race run at sub-8:00 pace at over 5,000 feet of elevation. The course's final miles carried him out past Boulder Reservoir before turning back for the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
