Nearly Half an Hour Faster: A Marathon Breakthrough Thomas Ripa ran 3:29:35, finishing 103rd overall and 91st among men. That result marks a significant jump from his 2024 Boulderthon marathon, where he crossed in 3:59:00 a nearly 30-minute improvement this time around. Ripa built his race on a strong, steady opening: he covered the first 13 miles in under 1:39:00, including a standout 6:45 split at mile 13, his fastest mile of the day. Pace gradually eased over the second half, settling into the 8:009:00 range through the closing miles, before he finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder a course that, like the rest of Boulder, sits above 5,000 feet of elevation.
