Strong Early Pace Fades Late in Marathon Debut Jed Moody finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 5:28:40. He moved through the first 10 miles in 1:28:29, an 8:50/mile pace, holding that rhythm through halfway in roughly 1:55:36. The middle miles held mostly steady, but the pace eased from mile 14 onward, and the final 10K slowed further, with miles 20 through 26 falling into the 12-13 minute range as fatigue set in over the closing stretch. His first 13 miles, covering the opening half at 8:53 pace, stood as the fastest sustained stretch of the day. Moody's finish brought him through the Pearl Street Mall, the traditional finish line for every distance at the event, capping a marathon that also passed Boulder Reservoir and the county backroads earlier on course.
