Steady Miles Give Way to a Late Test Before the Pearl Street Finish Nikola Grafnetterova finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:35:58, a modest step back from her 4:29:00 in 2024 and 4:29:37 in 2025. Her pace through the first 20 miles was remarkably consistent, holding between 10:11 and 10:19 per mile and keeping her cumulative pace locked near 10:14-10:17 for most of the race. That control held through mile 21, but miles 23-26 slowed to the 11:53-11:58 range, nudging her overall pace from 10:18 to 10:32 by the finish. Her strongest stretch came from mile 9 through mile 11, where she clicked off miles in 10:02, 10:19 and 9:54 - a smooth, controlled patch mid-race. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that early and mid-race consistency stands out as the foundation of the effort, even with the late fade over the final 5K.
