Consistent Middle Miles Anchor a Solid Marathon Effort Benjamin Saucerman finished the marathon in 4:29:59, an overall pace of 10:18 per mile, in a field of 3,305. After opening near 9:45-9:52 pace through the first three miles, he settled into a rhythm, holding between 9:11 and 9:52 per mile from mile 4 through mile 18 before easing over the closing miles. His strongest stretch came from mile 9 to mile 16, where he covered seven miles between 9:08 and 9:44 each, including an 8:34 split at mile 11 his fastest of the race. That stretch carried him toward the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, a point he reached in 3:36:11 before finishing the final miles into downtown Boulder's Pearl Street Mall.
