Shaw Trims 16 Minutes Off Boulderthon Marathon Time Darren Shaw ran 4:01:18 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, a marked improvement from his 4:17:37 finish the previous year a gain of over 16 minutes and nearly 400 overall spots. Shaw's pacing stayed remarkably even through the first 18 miles, holding between 8:56 and 9:06 per mile, before dipping to a 10:11 split at mile 21 as the course pushed through Boulder County backroads near the lululemon Power-Up Zone. He answered well, closing miles 24 through 26 at an average pace near 8:58 per mile his strongest sustained stretch of the back half to finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
