Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Ahmed Shereif #10121 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Strong Early Pace Carries a Top-Tier Marathon Finish Ahmed Shereif crossed the line in 3:35:17, placing 136th overall and 118th among men in a field of 3,305. His race showed a classic marathon arc: a swift opening third under 7:40 pace, a gradual fade through the middle miles into the 7:50s-8:00s, and a tougher final 10K as splits drifted toward 9:00-9:20 per mile before he steadied over the closing miles. His sharpest stretch came in the first six miles, covered in 44:54 for a 7:29 average pace, setting up the bulk of his overall cushion. That effort came at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, a notable backdrop for holding sub-7:30 pace before the course's later miles took their toll. He closed things out on the historic Pearl Street Mall, capping a well-paced, positive-split marathon with a solid overall result.
