Even Early Pace Fuels Top-30 Marathon Finish Ricky Teran finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:11:00, placing 30th overall and 24th among men in a field of 3,305, good for third in the M25-29 division. A year removed from a 1:43:38 half marathon at the same race, Teran stepped up to the full 26.2 miles and delivered a much stronger showing relative to the field. His race was defined by remarkable early consistency: through 18 miles he held between 6:41 and 7:24 per mile, cresting near 6:58 average pace at the halfway point of that stretch. The back half brought a natural fade, with miles 19-24 slipping into the 7:39-8:56 range before he rallied to a 7:29 mile 26. That steady opening effort, sustained at over 5,000 feet of altitude, carried him to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
