Fast Front Half Gives Way to a Gritty Closing Stretch Oliver Snow completed the marathon in 4:00:16. He moved efficiently through the opening miles, clicking off a 7:53 pace between miles 2 and 6, his strongest stretch of the day. That rhythm held remarkably well through the halfway point and into the mid-teens, with mile-by-mile splits mostly in the 8:20s-8:50s through mile 17. The back stretch told a different story, as pace eased into the 9:30-11:30 range from mile 18 onward, before a notable rally in the final mile brought him home in 9:55. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds context to the demands of holding that early rhythm. Snow passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 22.5, right as his effort settled into its toughest patch of the race, before finding another gear for the run into the Pearl Street Mall finish.
