Strong Early Pace Fuels Top-10% Marathon Finish Jacob Doezie finished the marathon in 3:35:37, placing 141st overall and 122nd among men out of the field of 3,305. He also finished 21st in the M25-29 division. His early pacing was efficient and controlled, holding between 6:35 and 7:31 per mile through the first eleven miles before easing slightly through the middle miles. The middle-to-late miles saw a gradual rise in pace, particularly from mile 18 onward, before a modest recovery into the final miles. His strongest one-mile stretch came early, covering mile 11 in 6:35, the fastest of his race. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Doezie's steady first half laid a solid foundation for his overall time, even as the closing miles cost him some ground compared to his early rhythm.
