Even Early Pace Gives Way to a Determined Final Push Kaitlyn Butterfield finished the marathon in 4:02:14, an overall pace of 9:14 per mile. She built a steady foundation through the first half, holding between 8:40 and 9:00 per mile through mile 18, then eased into a 9:3310:13 range from miles 19 through 25 before rallying to a 9:33 closing mile. Her sharpest running came at mile 11, covered in 8:25, the fastest mile of her race. She would have passed near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 22.5 just as her pace slipped into double digits, before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder a course run at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
