Strong Early Pace Carries to a Top-10 Marathon Finish Hayden Coffing finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 2:58:28, placing 9th overall out of the field of 3,305 and 1st among nonbinary finishers, also topping the division. The opening miles were the fastest of the day, with a first mile of 5:56 and a steady 6:10-6:20 pace holding through the halfway point. From there, the pace eased gradually, settling into the 6:30-7:00 range through mile 19 before drifting further to the high 7:00s and low 8:00s over the closing miles. Miles 1-13 stood out as the strongest sustained stretch, averaging around 6:20 per mile and building the cushion that carried through to the finish. The final miles crossed the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall, a fitting close at over 5,000 feet of elevation in downtown Boulder.
