Sub-3:02 Marathon Debut Nets Age-Group Win in Boulder Tyler Pritchard, 28, of Boulder, finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:01:04, an average pace of 6:54 per mile, placing 13th overall and 11th among men in a field of 3,305 good enough for the top spot in the men's 25-29 division. He ran a tightly controlled race, holding between 6:47 and 6:54 elapsed pace through the first 20 miles, with a strong middle stretch from miles 9 through 12 (6:47, 6:32, 6:46) marking his fastest sustained running of the day. The final six miles held firm in the high 6:50s to low 7:00s, with a slight dip to 7:23 at mile 22 near the lululemon Power-Up Zone at that point on the course before closing with a 6:51 mile 25, his best of the back half. Given Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet, that late surge stands out as a strong finish.
