Steady Early Pace Carries Strong Marathon Finish Eileen Comiskey finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:48:51, placing 229th overall and 41st among women in a field of 3,305. Her race showed excellent early control: she covered the first 18 miles at a consistent 8:23 per-mile pace, with an especially strong stretch from miles 1 through 11 hovering between 8:00 and 8:24 per mile. The back half proved tougher, as her pace eased into the 8:50s and low 9:00s, before a final mile that included a brief step outside 10:00 pace on the approach to the Pearl Street Mall finish. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, holding sub-8:25 pace for 18 miles reflects a well-managed early effort. She moved through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 in the 8:58 to 8:54 range, a solid recovery after a slower 22nd mile, before finishing strong through downtown Boulder.
