Sharp Start, Strong Finish Push Krycho to Top Five Chris Krycho ran 2:53:36 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon, finishing 5th overall and 5th among men. That's a step up from his 2025 Boulderthon Marathon, where he ran 2:54:57 and placed 20th overall a faster time and a far higher finish this time around. He opened fast, covering the first six miles in 37:37 (6:16/mile pace), the quickest sustained stretch of his race. The middle miles held steady in the 6:20s-6:30s before a dip through miles 21-23, where pace eased into the 7:00s. He answered with a strong close, dropping back to 6:37-6:43 pace over the final three miles to secure his position. That finish came on the historic Pearl Street Mall, the shared finish line for every Boulderthon distance, in a city that sits above 5,000 feet of elevation.
