Steady Pace Through Altitude, Strong Kick to the Finish Brandon Lamas finished the marathon in 3:47:02, placing 208th overall and 173rd among men out of the field of 3,305. After an opening mile at 8:13, he settled into a consistent rhythm, holding between 8:20 and 8:50 per mile through the middle miles without major swings a sign of well-managed effort across more than 20 miles of racing. Miles 15 through 20 stood out as his most even stretch, each split falling within seconds of an 8:30 pace despite Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet. Fatigue showed briefly around mile 22, near the lululemon Power-Up Zone at mile 22.5, where his pace eased to 9:32, before he closed with a stronger 8:56 in mile 24 on the way into the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
