Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Finnian Jacobson-Schulte #10790 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles

Wire-to-Wire Win Sets the Pace From Gun to Tape Finnian Jacobson-Schulte took the overall marathon title in 2:30:18, leading the men's field and his age division from the front. Out of 3,305 in the field, his overall pace of 5:44 per mile made for the day's most decisive performance. His opening 6 miles were his sharpest work, covering that stretch in roughly 5:21 pace and building a lead he never relinquished. Splits held remarkably steady through halfway before easing gradually over the closing miles, a natural and reasonable adjustment given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet. With the front of the race firmly under control throughout, there's little to second-guess in the execution if anything, a touch more patience over miles 19-23, where pace slipped past 6:10, could shave time in a future attempt.
