Steady Mid-Race Miles Anchor Marathon Finish Andrew Landowski completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 4:21:10, an average pace of 9:58 per mile. After an early dip in pace through mile 5, he settled into a strong rhythm, holding between 9:03 and 9:49 per mile from mile 6 through mile 18 nearly a half-marathon's worth of consistent running. The back half of the course brought a gradual slowdown into the low 11:00s, but he rallied over the final mile, closing in 9:09, his fastest full mile since that mid-race stretch. That sustained 6-to-18-mile effort came on a marathon course carrying 603 feet of net elevation gain, run entirely above 5,000 feet in Boulder. Given the pace held through that long middle section, a touch more even effort late could help him carry that mid-race strength closer to the finish next time.
