Even Pacing Through Two-Thirds of the Marathon Fuels a Top-Age-Group Finish Joshua Jackson finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:05:57, placing 22nd overall and 18th among men in a field of 3,305, while topping the M20-24 division. He opened with a brisk 6:41 first mile and held remarkably even pacing through mile 17, cycling between 6:28 and 7:07 per mile a stretch that included his fastest mile of the race, a 6:28 split at mile 11. That control built a cushion that carried him through the closing miles, where pace eased into the 7:16-8:05 range as fatigue set in. That late softening arrived right around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5, where his pace dipped to 8:03-8:05 before he steadied again over the final miles into downtown Boulder. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the sustained mid-race pace stands out as the defining feature of the effort.
