Strong Finishing Kick Powers Top 4% Marathon Finish Kayin Scott crossed the marathon finish in 3:29:35, placing 102nd overall and 90th among men in a field of 3,305 at 2026 Boulderthon. Scott opened conservatively, settling into the low 8:30s per mile through the first eight miles, then found his rhythm. Miles 9 through 11 stood out as his fastest sustained stretch, dropping from an 8:16 cumulative pace to 8:04 as he clicked off 7:32, 7:15, and 7:05 splits. That surge carried him through the midrace, holding roughly 7:50-8:00 pace deep into the second half before a brief dip near miles 21-24, coinciding with the course passing lululemon's Power-Up Zone around mile 22.5. He answered with a 7:21 final mile, closing strong on the Pearl Street Mall finish at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
