Strong Front Half Fuels Marathon Debut Performance Jack Sweeney, 19, of Arlington, MA, finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:57:30, an overall pace of 9:03 per mile. His race was defined by an even, disciplined first half: he passed the 10-mile mark in 1:17:38, a 7:45 per-mile pace, and held that rhythm through mile 16 before the second half slowed steadily, with mile 22 alone taking 12:32. Sweeney's fastest sustained stretch came early, covering miles 1 through 10 at that 7:45 pace, well under his final overall mark. He passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 as his pace eased into the 12-minute range, a stretch on a course that, at over 5,000 feet in Boulder, trims into the marathon's final miles toward the Pearl Street Mall finish.
