Steady Middle Miles Anchor a Measured Marathon Finish Brandon Schluader completed the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 5:06:58, just under six minutes off his 5:01:19 finish at the same event last year. His race moved through clear phases: a brisk opening mile near 9:42, a rough patch around mile 9 that slowed to 15:15, and then a strong rebound from miles 13 through 17, where he covered four miles at roughly 10:11 per mile his most consistent stretch of the day. From there the pace eased steadily through the closing miles, understandable given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, as he moved through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 22.5 en route to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
