Consistent Pacing Secures Another Division Title Ville Rousu finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:17:26, placing 46th overall and 40th among men in a field of 3,305, while topping the M50-54 division for the second straight time. The result edges his 2024 Boulderthon finish of 3:18:37, a slight improvement built on tighter, more even pacing throughout. Rousu opened briskly, covering the first four miles in 28:22 (7:05/mile), then settled into a steady rhythm in the low 7:20s through mile 19. A gradual dip followed near mile 22, close to where the lululemon Power-Up Zone sits on course, before he rallied to close strongrunning miles 23 through 26 in 22:21, a 7:27/mile pace that outpaced his mid-race split. That finishing kick, at over 5,000 feet of altitude, capped a well-managed effort from start to Pearl Street Mall.
