Selch Slices Six Minutes Off Half Time, Cracks Top 10% Hayley Selch finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:35:29, placing 234th overall out of the field of 7,223 and 44th among women a result inside the top 10% of the field. That's a sharp improvement over her 2025 Boulderthon half, where she ran 1:42:03, shaving over six minutes off her time and climbing more than 200 spots in the overall standings. Selch's pace stayed steady through downtown Boulder, opening with miles in the 7:07-7:14 range before easing slightly through the middle miles, touching 7:42 at mile 8. She rallied over the final 5K, running mile 12 in 7:02, her fastest split after the opening miles, and closed with strong final placement gains, moving up to 172nd overall by the finish. A negative-split push in the closing miles could sharpen the finish even further next time.
