Strong Start Fades Into a Steady Finish Patricia Saltarelli finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:49:19, a slight step back from her 2025 result of 1:45:50 on the same course. Her opening six miles were the highlight, clicking off in 47:48 at a 7:58 per mile pace, the fastest sustained stretch of her race. From there, miles seven through eleven slowed into the high 8:00s and 9:27, before she steadied again over the final two miles to close in 8:17 and 8:20 pace. Racing in her hometown of Boulder, Saltarelli covered a half marathon course that finishes on the Pearl Street Mall, all at over 5,000 feet of elevation. Given her strong early pace, she may find value in working on sustaining that rhythm deeper into the back half next time out.
