Steady Pacing Fuels a Faster Finish Ben Edwards improved on his 2025 Boulderthon half marathon result, crossing in 1:43:33 this year compared to 1:45:23 previously a 1:50 improvement that also moved him up more than 100 spots in the overall field of 7223. Edwards ran a remarkably even race, holding a cumulative pace between 7:42 and 7:58 min/mile for nearly the entire distance. His strongest stretch came in the final two miles, where he covered the ground in roughly 7:32 min/mile pace, pulling his overall time down after a mid-race dip. That closing surge, capped by a 7:26 final mile, capped a well-managed effort at altitude Boulder sits above 5,000 feet before he crossed the finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
