Strong Closing Kick Seals a Steady Half Jonathan Todd finished the half marathon in 1:34:57, placing 220th overall and 178th among men in a field of 7,223. He returns to Boulderthon after running the marathon there in 2023, this time stepping down to the shorter distance. His pace held steady in the low 7:20s through the middle miles before tightening noticeably in the closing stretch. His strongest mile-plus stretch came early, with miles 4 through 6 clicking off in 7:13, 7:03, and 6:59, before a late surge carried him through miles 12 and 13 at 6:40 and 6:48 to the finish. That closing kick came as he made his way through downtown Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation, passing near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5 before reaching the Pearl Street Mall finish.
