Steady Early Pace Fuels Strong Middle Miles Before Late Fade Kristin Freitag finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:46:46, faster than her 2025 result of 1:56:59 but off her 2024 mark of 1:41:25. Freitag ran the first ten miles remarkably evenly, holding between 7:49 and 8:25 pace and settling into a cumulative pace near 8:00/mile through mile 10. Her strongest stretch came in miles 1 through 6, where she averaged under 8:00/mile, highlighted by a 7:49 split in mile six. The final three miles saw a gradual slowdown, with an 8:56 split at mile 11 before she closed things out. This year's Boulderthon featured a redesigned half marathon course with net elevation gain cut nearly 50%, and Freitag capped her race with the traditional finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
