Strong Rebound Puts Him Back Near His Boulderthon Best Justin Cohan-Shapiro ran 1:35:37, finishing 238th overall and 193rd among men in a field of 7,223. That's his second-fastest Boulderthon half marathon, well ahead of his 2023 (1:56:12) and 2025 (1:41:45) times, trailing only his 2024 finish of 1:33:55. He opened fast, covering the first five miles between 6:45 and 7:03 per mile, then eased through the middle miles as pace drifted toward 8:03 by mile 11. He closed strong, dropping his final mile to 7:06, the best mile-plus stretch of the race's back half. This year's half course carried nearly 50% less elevation gain than in years past, a notable backdrop given Boulder's mile-high altitude, before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall.
