Strong Start Fuels a Solid Half-Marathon Finish Anne Lemmer crossed the line in 1:45:25, an average pace of 8:02 per mile, placing 559th overall and 137th among women in a field of 7,223. Her race opened fast, clicking off the first five miles in 38:11 for a 7:38 average, the strongest sustained stretch of her day. Pace eased through the middle miles, dipping to an 8:41 split at mile eight, before settling into a steadier 8:078:24 rhythm through the finish along the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Given Boulders elevation above 5,000 feet, holding that pace band over the closing miles reflects well-managed effort across the second half of the course.
